To all you pumpkin spice lovers out there, welcome. This is going to be messy. Beergirl Melissa is joining Flex and Greg for a whole lot of fun. They are talking about the drunkest states in America, drinking some anniversary beers, getting sucked into pyramid schemes thanks to free booze, and most importantly, getting Flex to drink a pumpkin-spice seltzer.
Greg kicks off the hydration with Stone Brewing’s 12.5% 25th Anniversary Triple IPA. Melissa is drinking Humble Sea Brewing’s Orange Cream Socks & Sandals.
This week, the Republic received two voicemails; first, Fontana Jim calls in to talk about getting wasted at pour-your-own beer bars. Then ChewYourBeer drops a line to talk about a bad experience he had at a local brewery.
Greg went to a pyramid scheme presentation just to get some free beer. At the same time, Melissa admits that she’s a sucker for schemes as long as free alcohol is involved.
The moment we’ve all waited for, Flex cashed in on his promise to drink Bud Light’s pumpkin spice seltzer if Melissa would join the show. Is there any chance that he ended up liking it? Maybe it was tasty?
We recap just a few of the notable winners from the Great America Beer Festival. Anheuser-Busch is launching a non-alcoholic version of Stella. And North Dakota has the drunkest drivers in America, but who rounds out the top five?
