×The US Women's Open at Erin Hills produced a new major champion in Sweden's Maja Stark. The former podcast guest, that Alex said has done well as past US Open's, cruised to victory with the 54-hole lead Sunday. Jack Nicklaus didn't hold back on his criticism of Rory McIlroy, who skipped Jack's MEMORIAL tournament without a personal phone call to the legend of the game. Scottie Scheffler claimed his second straight MEMORIAL tournament, winning his 8th straight tournament when leading after 54-holes. The world's best player continues to be part of the "next Tiger Woods" conversation. On the PGA Champions circuit, Angel Cabrera couldn't get a third win a row, but the most interesting man in the world, Miguel Angel Jimenez, claimed victory in a playoff. Charlie Woods finally got his first victory on the AJGA circuit, and Alex wonders how the college recruiting process will go for Tiger's son. June means Hurricane season is here, and Michael is ready. Meanwhile, Alex is prepping for bring the Course of Life brand to the small screen this summer. In Tuned In, Michael can't get enough of a Las Vegas sommelier opening expensive bottles of wine, and Alex shares a new show he never heard of, and the release schedule for the final season of Stranger Things. This week's guest is Dr Raymond Prior, Ph.D. Alex chats with Dr Prior, known for his role in performance phycology, who how he got into the field, and why its so important for not just athletes, but also musicians, CEOs, and actors. You can find out more about Dr Prior at BTSMindset.com. The NBA Playoffs are set as the Indiana Pacers and the Minnesota Timberwolves win their conferences. While the NBA may not be loving the ratings potential of this midwest matchup, Michael wonders if the Pacers win will the Fever follow suit? At Colonial, Scottie Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood couldn't content, and instead an American claimed his second win of the year with a par on the last at the Charles Schwab Challenge. On the PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS, ex-convict Angela Cabrera is putting up a surpassingly amazing season, as his victory at the Senior US Open makes it 2-straight wins and 2-straight Majors in back-to-back weeks. The LPGA was at Mayakoba for the Mexico Riviera Maya Open, where a Japanese rookie claimed her first victory, 6 shots clear of the field. The Ryder Cup is coming up at the end of the season at Bethpage Black, and at last week's US Open, Alex asked Captains Luke Donald and Keagan Bradly how they'll pick their teams. Meanwhile, Michael has a crazy suggestion for the US Captain's picks. The PGA TOUR now heads to the Memorial, while the LPGA has their US Open at Erin Hills. Michael shares an update on his broken elbow, while Alex is celebrating the unofficial start of summer. In Tuned In, it's a race weekend! Michael can't get over the incredible finish at the Weenie 500, while Alex is in shock how Scott McLaughlin's Indy 500 ended even before it began. This week's guest is Caley McGinty. The LPGA Rookie from England shares how she played at 3 different American universities before turning pro, and what it's like playing on Tour. The NBA Playoffs roll on, and Alex just can't root for the Knicks after what they did to his Celtics. We all know that the WNBA is seeing amazing growth, thanks to the likes of Caitlin Clark. But an economics professor has put a number on how much Clark actually means to the WNBA. Tom Brady might be coming out of retirement to play again, but not exactly where you might think. And the Bill Belichick/Jordon Hudson narrative just keeps getting crazier and they two now seem to be engaged. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex is enjoying the local places in Austin that haven't been ruined by tourists yet. Support our friends! The 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow started off slow on star power, but ended with a bang, and a couple thuds, as Scottie Scheffler claimed his third major as Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau faltered. Alex shares clips from his press conference questions with Jordan Speith and Sheffler, plus PGA Professional Ryan Lenahan. Ex-convict and 2-time major champion Angel Cabrera won for the second time on the PGA Champions Tour, and Michael wonders if he wins at the PGA Senior Championship next week, will he be a shoe-in for POTY? Alex may finally be done traveling for a little bit, but that doesn't mean he's done with his travel stories of weird people. In Tuned In, Michael finally catches Twisters , and is catching feelings for Glenn Powell, while Alex is finding good entertainment while while airborne. This week's guest is Patrick McDonald, part of the CBS Sports Golf online coverage. Patrick shares what makes this year's PGA Championship "good enough," what its like being on CBS Sports, and how a pimento cheese grilled cheese is his favorite 19th hole meal. The NBA Playoffs head to the Conference Finals, and Alex's Celtics are no longer in the picture. The WNBA kicked off their new season, and the drama between Caitlin Clarke and Angel Reese is already in top form. The NFL released the 2025 schedules, and Alex's Patriots and Michael's Giants are poised for a December MNF matchup when both teams may be in very different places. Michael shares how college softball just had one of the biggest upsets ever, as the top ranked Texas A&M Aggies faltered in the opening regional round of the NCAA Tournament. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares how his one slice of pizza at the Charlotte airport almost broke the bank, while Michael tries out Dave's Hot Chicken for some Nashville Hot style fried chicken. This week's PGA Championship at Quail Hollow has almost too many possible storylines, and Alex is on the course in Charlotte, letting us know what he's seeing and what he might ask at the press conferences early in the week. Alex and Michael inspect the course and give predictions on which star has the best chance to claim the season's second major. The Truist Championship was moved to Philadelphia ahead of the PGA Championship, where Sepp Straka claimed his second victory of the season and stole a spot in the Top 10 in the World. Meanwhile, the ONEFlight Myrtle Beach Classic went into a 3-man playoff, where all Ryan Fox needed was a chip-in to second his first Tour victory. The LPGA was in Jersey City for the Mizuho Americas Open, and the hottest golfer in the game finally got back to the winner's circle. Alex's travels across the country continue, and he shares more stories of people running through the airport from his flights to Charlotte. In Tuned In, Michael shares his review of "Thunderbolts*," while Alex is rewatching the popular show Lost . This week's guest is Grant Boone, known for the LPGA on NCA Sports, plus the Amen Corner live stream for The Masters. Grant chats with Alex about what it's like being at Amen Corner all week, how he got the job at NBC, and more from his time calling multiple sports for radio and television. The NBA Playoffs roll on, and Michael asks Alex what is happening with the Boston Celtics. In Football, the Bill Belichick/UNC/Jordon Hudson drama continues to boil, and Michael wonders if Bill will ever even coach an actual game at UNC. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex wants to know if he should visit Cookout while in Charlotte, while Michael tries out the mid-west staple Culver's for a butter burger. Support our friends! Scottie Scheffler finally got his first win of the season, and boy, was it an impressive one in his own backyard at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson. The LPGA was in Utah for the Black Desert Championship, an incredible backdrop for Haeren Ryu to claim her third victory on tour. The PGA Professional Championship this past week gave some for he game's best instructors and club pros the chance to play for a spot at the PGA Championship, and Alex was there to chat with some of the game's best as they punched their ticket. Alex was able to catch up with pros Ryan Lenahan, Rupe Taylor, and Bob Sowards after they had completed their final rounds. The PGA TOUR heads to the Truist Championship, moved away from Quail Hallow (which will host the PGA Championship next week). Michael wonders if Rory McIlroy can defend his title, will that make it more or less likely for him to win the season's second major? Alex has been hopping around the country covering all the different golf, and he shares another rant on travel that he just don't understand about checked bags. In Tuned In, Michael is playing a new computer game, Cities: Skylines as he continues to rest his broken arm, while Alex couldn't believe the crowds in Brazil as Lady Gaga took over Rio. This week's guest is Hope Barnett, who returns to the podcast to talk about the LPGA's growing success and which celebrities are showing up at the different tournaments. The NBA Playoffs move onto the next stage, albeit without LeBron James (once again). Michael wonders how much longer we'll see LeBron on the court. The Bill Belichick saga continues to grow more and more bizarre as new information keeps coming out about Bill and his significantly younger girlfriend. In baseball, the Yankee's Aaron Judge put up ridiculous numbers in April, making Alex and Michael gawk at his ability to smash the ball. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares what it was like to be back at Foxboro, the Boston themed sports bar in Marco Island, FL, while Michael is giving a shameless plug to his bakery's new brunch restaurant, Bread and Butter. The LPGA's first major of the season did not disappoint with a 5 woman playoff to decide the Chevron Championship. Plus, answers from the game's best as Alex chats with Ingrid Lindblad, Nelly Korda, and Ruoning Yin in Houston. Team golf was the name of the game at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans, as Andrew Novak finally got his win with his buddy Ben Griffin at his side. 17-year old Blades Brown is making a name for himself on the Korn Ferry Tour, and Michael breaks down how Brown is using his runner-up finish last week to his advantage instead of playing on the PGA TOUR this week, as he had originally planned. Alex is in Florida this week to cover the PGA Professional Championship, where the best club professionals get together to try and play their way into the PGA Championship at Quail Hallow. The PGA TOUR heads to Texas for the CJ CUP Byron Nelson, where local boy Scottie Scheffler is still looking for his first win of the season. Alex's travel day to southwest Florida was an interesting one, where he say every annoying thing happen, from passengers running to their plane to people sitting in the wrong seat. In Tuned In, Michael shares some of the movies he's watching with he extra free time, and Alex can't believe the Austin PD couldn't catch a guy hanging from a crane over downtown Austin. The NBA Playoffs roll on and while Alex is comfortable with his Celtics, Michael can't believe the refs are just handing out wins to the New York Knicks. The NFL had a banner weekend, from a fun-filled draft (where favorite Shedeur Sanders just kept slipped) to a poor interview with Bill Belichick. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex is excited to visit his favorite New England themes sports bar in SW Florida, while Michael is still trying to figure out what he can cook and eat as he nurses he left arm back to health. The RBC Heritage at Harbour Town had an exciting Sunday finish as Justin Thomas finally returned to the winner's circle with a playoff victory. The LPGA's JM Eagle LA Championship produced a new winner, in just her third start, and a large donation to support LA Firefighters. This week marks the LPGA's first Major Championship, the Chevron Championship, in Houston, TX. Alex is on the grounds for the first few days and shares his thoughts on the course and a conversation with Gurleen Kaur, playing in her second Chevron Championship. The PGA TOUR's opposite event, the Coral Putacana Championship, saw Joel Dahmen lose a commanding lead down the stretch Sunday, a disappointing end to an otherwise good week of play. Plus, content creator and up-and-comer Wesley Bryan couldn't play after being suspended for playing in the LIV Duels event a few weeks ago. This week's Zurich Classic features a team format unique to the New Orleans event, and the returning duo of Masters Champ Rory McIlroy and fellow countryman Shane Lowry are the odds-on favorite. Michael shares an update on his fractured elbow, and Alex celebrates his hometown's 250th Birthday. In Tuned In, Michael caught the cult-classic 100's of Beavers with a packed theatre and can't stop recommending it, while Alex shares an unsettling update to this year's Fyre Festival. This week's guest is Darrell Kestner, a PGA Professional in New York who has played in the PGA Professional Championship over 6 decades. Darrell shares stories from his long playing career, how he won the event with different putting strokes, and more. The NBA Playoffs are in full force and Alex is all in on his Boston Celtics. Michael shares a wild inning that happening in Minor League Baseball, with a routine play that cause major deja vu. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Michael can't believe that the case of the Jersey Shore went to the home of the chicken tender in his New Hampshire home. Support our friends! Rory McIlroy finally did it. Alex and Michael look back at the incredible week from Augusta National, including on-site reporting from a friend of the podcast. The LPGA has their final tune-up ahead of the Chevron Championship next week. The Olympics are finally doing what we've all been asking for: a mixed team event at the next Summer Games! Hilton Head hosts the PGA Tour next for the RBC Heritage, where Scottie Scheffler looks to defend. Alex enjoyed a weekend in Austin TX, and catching up with Johnny from Austin's own Caddy Issues. Plus, Michael shares an unfortunate turn of events. In Tuned In, Michael is looking for recommendations, while Alex is wondering how we'll be making showers "great again." The NBA Playoffs tip off this week, and Alex ponders how it'll play out for his Celtics. The MLB season rolls on, and the NL is dominating everything. In the NHL, there's a new all-time goals leader, and this season/s Stanley Cup Playoffs will be missing something it's never been without before. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex enjoys some Masters Classics, while Michael celebrates Passover. Support our friends! The Valero Texas Open had winds, winds, and more winds, and 2023 British Open Champ Brian Harmon finally returned to the winner's circle. The Korn Ferry Tour was in Savannah for the Club Car Championship, but the real story was Ryan McCormick who taped his mouth shut for his Friday round. The PGA TOUR and PIF have been at it forever, and seem to be getting close to a deal. But news broke of a rejected offer of investment from PIF with one little caveat that is still the sticking point. The LPGA still has a match play event on their schedule, the T-Mobile Match Play, which gave us a champion who hasn't been in the winner's circle in a long time. Former Master's Champion Angel Cabrera, and veteran of the Argentinean prison system, just made the field of the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational, and took full advantage by cruising to victory, just in time for his return to Augusta National. The first major of the year kicks off in Augusta, GA at The Masters as the world's best vie for the coveted Green Jacket. Alex and Michael look at the field and Alex shares his very hot take on the betting odds. In Tuned In, Michael shares his review of the meme-able film "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent," while Alex shares his thoughts on "White Lotus" season 3 and the upcoming Fyre Festival. This week's guest is Nicholas Callaway, who chats with Alex about the new memoir he edited about his father, Ely Callaway, the founder of Callaway Golf. Nicholas shares stories from the book, like how Ely founded the brand in his 60s, and how AI is being used to recreate Ely's voice for the audio book version. The NCAA Women's Basketball Champions are the UCONN Huskies... again. While all the eyes keep going to the men's powerhouses of Duke and UNC, Michael reminds us that that school in the middle of Connecticut just keeps winning National Titles, year after year. Baseball season is in full swing after two weeks, but is it too soon to jump to conclusions? As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, they dive into Blake Lively's poorly executed bakery visit in Connecticut. The Texas Children's Houston Open has some fireworks on Sunday at Scottie Scheffler couldn't get it done and Min Woo Lee breaks through on the PGA TOUR. LIV Golf unveiled a new creator tournament coming at their Miami stop, dubbed The Duels. Featuring content creators next to LIV pros, it sounds an awfully lot like The Creator Classic on the PGA TOUR, who had a lot to say about these creators jumping ship. Jim Nantz shocked the golf world with his retirement announcement... that'll come at The Masters... in 2036. The LPGA is back stateside and Lilia Vu couldn't finish the deal at the Ford Championship as Hyo Joo Kim took the win in a playoff after a Sunday 64. The PGA TOUR now heads to the Valero Texas Open and the last chance before The Masters. Alex and Michael share some updates going on in their personal lives, as well as what they are Tuning Into, like cleaning up their email boxes, and an update on Michael's 2-year long board game challenge. This week's guest is Jane Spicer, the owner and founder of Daphne's Headcovers. Jane chats with Alex about how the company started, what it was like when Tiger Woods started using a Daphne Headcover, and more. March Madness now rolls into April with a very boring Final Four as the selection committee is likely patting themselves on the back for getting it right. NFL Free Agency still has some life left in it, as Michael's Giants surprised everyone with the signing of Russell Wilson, and Alex's Patriots continue to spend, now on WR Stefon Diggs. Baseball season is finally underway, and while Alex's Red Sox are faltering out of the box, Michael's Yankees are pounding the ball with some controversial new baseball bats. The Snake Pit bit a bunch of guys this week at The Valspar, and the back 9 on Sunday did not disappoint as Victor Hovland outlasted Justin Thomas. Rory's young protege from Hollywood is seeming to ignore all of Rory's advice as a jump to LIV golf is in the cards for Tom McKibben. The US Team announced their new Solheim Cup Captain, friend of the podcast Angela Stanford, who will lead the ladies into The Netherlands next year. This weekend's premiere junior golf tournament, the Sage Valley Jr Invitational, got a lot of attention. Not just for the winner (Miles Russell at -9), but for Charlie Wood's average result, and the incredibly poor showing of Donald Trump's eldest grandchild. Tiger made an uncharacteristic social media post about his new relationship, prompting questions of what he actually means for golf's GOAT and the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr (and mother President Trump's eldest grandchild). The PGA TOUR now heads to Texas for the Texas Children's Houston Open, where Rory McIlroy will do a tune-up for the Masters. In Tuned In, Alex is excited as his occasional vacation spot of Marco Island was featured on The Americas documentary-series, while also marveling at Celine Dion's golf game after a recent swing post from the Canadian singer. This week's guest is Kira Peterson, a golf content creator in Wisconsin, who chats with Alex about her journey into the game from snowboarding, and what makes golf in Wisconsin so special. March Madness kicked off this past weekend, and the results were... expected. Mostly. NFL Free Agency continues and Michael's Giants have finally made a big splash in the QB market... for someone you wouldn't expect. Baseball kicks off it's season for real this week after last week's 2-game Tokyo Series. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, they break down this year's menu at the Champions Dinner at The Masters, as Scottie Scheffler makes a few small tweaks from last year's menu. Support our friends! Rory McIlroy took THE PLAYERS Championship in a playoff victory Monday morning, claiming yet another big win. But his week started off with an odd fan interaction, and Alex and Michael continue to wonder if he's the man who can win another major, or even the star the game needs anymore. Tiger Woods had an odd week, from another surgery should end his PGA career (says Michael), to rumors of an intimate relationship with someone from the inner Trump circle. The LPGA and TGL rumors are heating up, meaning we might start seeing Nelly Korda and Lydia Ko, among others, hitting it into the massive simulator screen. But Michael warns that what we really want is teams featuring both the women and the men. The Valspar Championship wraps up the PGA TOUR's Florida swing, a course that is surprisingly hilly for the Sunshine State. Alex made a trek to Horseshoe Bay Resort to see the opening of the new Callaway Golf Academy, and while there got to chat with Horseshoe Bay's Director of Golf, Anthony Holder, golf content creator Dalton Joyce, and Nicholas Callaway, the son of Callaway founder Ely Callaway. In Tuned In, Michael shares how sometimes being a dog owner means not sleeping well. March Madness is truly upon us now, as the brackets are out and all the mid-majors are watching from the outside. Alex and Michael take quick looks at the men's and women's tournaments, and Alex gives his favorites and sleepers. NFL Free Agency continues to heat up, but Michael's Giants keep doing odd things (or nothing at all). Major League Baseball kicks off its regular season on March 18 in Japan, but then takes a week to go back to Spring Training before actually starting the rest of the season. Michael and Alex are perplexed. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares the great food he had at Horseshoe Bay, while Michael shares an exciting new appetizer he made with roasted grapes. The Puerto Rico Open featured a new PGA TOUR winner, by a whole bunch of strokes. The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill wasn't short on dramatics down the stretch, but NBC's botched coverage thanks to a commercial break took away the best moment of Russell Henley's big win. The DP World Tour's Joburg Open in South Africa included one of those odd moments of a player posting a low number and then needing to wait it out to see if they win. Alex loves the coverage they do with a camera in the player's face, and in the end, Calum Hill survived the extended break in the clubhouse and a playoff to take the win. The LPGA wrapped up their Asian swing in China with a new winner at the LPGA Blue Bay, while two past CoL guests finished in the top 30. TPC Sawgrass hosts the unofficial 5th major as THE PLAYERS highlights this weekend's events. Alex shares what he visited at SXSW in Austin this past weekend, including a Whataburger museum filled with art inspired by the Texas burger chain. In Tuned In, Michael shares a review of the most recent Oscar Winner for Best Animated Feature, Flow, while Alex's plethora of viewing this past week includes updates from Fyre Festival 2 and a crazy few minutes on a Southwest Airlines flight. This week's guest is Jason Epstein, the PGA Director of Golf & Athletics at Congressional Country Club. Jason chats with Alex from the PGA Show floor and shares how the course has changed and what to look forward to as major championships return to this historic DC course. March Madness is just about hear, and all the mid-majors are just praying for a spot outside of the play-in games. NFL Free Agency is lighting up, and while Michael's Giants finally have a QB, Alex's Patriots are getting ready to spend some money. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares the incredible food he had visiting SXSW, but also the food he didn't get to have because he's "too old" to wait in line. Support our friends! From the cut line to the winner's circle, the PGA Tour has a brand new champion at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches as a depleted field masters a usually windy PGA National. At the South African Open, a rain soaked shortened tournament resulted in a new winner on the DP World Tour and another countryman winning their national title. The PLAYERS is just two weeks away, and while LIV golfers have been shut out of the biggest payday on the PGA Tour, one former player has gotten himself back into the field. The LPGA's HSBC Women's Open is the unofficial Asian Major, and you can now add that trophy to the case of Hall of Famer Lydia Ko. The PGA TOUR heads to the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the time of year when Scottie Scheffler dominates. This week's guest is a perennial Top 100 Golf Coach Jon Tattersall. Jon chats with Alex from the PGA Show back in January, sharing insight on how technology is an important part of the coaching process, what's really happening with the grinders on the PGA Tour, and more. March Madness is coming and Alex and Michael care most about their mid-major alma mater and their chances of doing what mid-majors only dream of. Michael's New York Giants had a horrible season, and now have a completely empty quarterback room as they enter free-agency. What's more surprising is that the Giants are considering adding a former Jet to their roster--Aaron Rodgers. As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex checks out a world famous BBQ joint, while Michael tries the newest Coca-Cola Orange Cream live. Support our friends! The Mexico Open at Vidanta went to a playoff and the journeyman Brian Campbell overcame the rookie Aldrich Potgeiter thanks to the luckiest of bounces. With more news of talks for the PGA and PIF merger, the rumor is now circulating that we could see LIV players at THE PLAYERS in just a couple weeks. But could that really happen? The LPGA started their Asian swing, and an American claimed victory after holding off an incredible Sunday 61 from a rookie on tour. The PGA TOUR now heards to PGA National for the Cognizant Classic, one final tune up before the tour rolls into TPC Sawgrass. Alex was enjoying the cold and the baseball as he checked out the Karbach Round Rock Classic, featuring some college baseball teams and loud metal bats. In Tuned In, it's a round robin of movie awards, new seasons of favorite TV shows, concerts, and more. This week's guest is Ara Anton, known as the Country Club Comic. Ara chatted with Alex at the PGA Show in January, and shares how he went from a caddy to a comic, his favorite celebrities he's caddied for, and how he finds humor in everything golf. Alex and Michael have a lot of questions for Bill Belichick, as everyone's attention is on the 23 year old girlfriend of the 72 year old Hall of Fame coach. Spring Training is heating up, and the biggest news was the end of the no facial hair policy for the New York Yankees. But with the announcement from team captain Aaron Judge that he won't grow anything, will the other players stay clean as well? As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, it's a Girl Scout Cookie favorite being turned into a milkshake, and some of Savannah's best restaurants. Support our friends!
