We’ve all heard that comparison is the thief of joy, but lately, I’ve realized how true that really is. All the time I hear women talking about how they should be doing something because they see someone else doing it, and believe me, I fall into this trap too. I get it. Why do we think that doing something we don’t want to do is somehow going to make us feel happier or more successful? This episode is a replay of the most popular episode of 2024 from the Leading Lady podcast. It is about rejecting comparison and instead celebrating all of our unique qualities and successes. Just because one woman experienced success in something, doesn’t mean you have to do it too. You can be happy for her and move on, and that doesn’t make you a failure. I’m sharing some of my own experiences with comparison as well as some tips to help you stop comparing yourself to others and start living as your authentic self. Topics covered in this episode include: How social media keeps you stuck in the comparison trap The negative effects of constant comparison Reconnecting with what you really want for yourself If you often feel like you’re behind everyone else, you’re not good enough, or you should be doing more, you need to hear this!
