We’ve turned intuition into a buzzword—flattened it into a slogan, a gut feeling, or a vague whisper we don’t always know how to hear. But what if intuition is so much more? What if it's one of the most powerful tools we have—and we’ve just forgotten how to use it? In this episode, I’m joined by Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir , Icelandic thought leader, filmmaker, and author of InnSæi: Icelandic Wisdom for Turbulent Times . Hrund has spent over 20 years studying and teaching the science and art of intuition through her TED Talk, Netflix documentary (InnSæi: The Power of Intuition), and global work on leadership, innovation, and inner knowing. Together, we explore what intuition really is (hint: not woo-woo), how to cultivate it in a culture obsessed with logic and overthinking, and why your ability to listen to yourself might be the most essential skill you can develop. In This Episode, We Cover: ✅ Why we’ve misunderstood intuition—and how to reclaim it ✅ Practical ways to strengthen your intuitive muscle ✅ What Icelandic wisdom teaches us about inner knowing ✅ How to use intuition during uncertainty and decision-making ✅ Why trusting yourself is an act of rebellion (and power) Intuition isn’t magic—it’s a deep, internal guidance system that already exists inside you. The question is: are you listening? ×Sin is a universal experience. It’s rooted in our very being and a key component of God’s story with humanity. However, viewing the gospel as simply a “sin-management” tool reduces the power and truth of the Good News. Listen as Pastor Brent shares a fresh perspective on sin, helping us understand its role in our story and how Christ teaches us to approach it.…
In spiritual formation, we trust in the slow work of God. It’s a process of being formed in the image of Christ for the sake of others, ultimately experiencing the fullness that He offers. Listen as Pastor Brent shares about the significance and beauty of being formed by Jesus daily.
We continue our Start Here series, focusing on the person and presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit isn’t an optional add-on to the Christian life—he’s essential. He’s not a distant force or mysterious vibe; he’s the personal, powerful presence of God at work in us and in the world. From the opening pages of Scripture to the birth of the Church at Pentecost, we see the Spirit bringing life, forming people, and leading them into the purposes of God. And today, that same Spirit invites us to pay attention, to make space, and to surrender.…
Listen as we continue our Start Here series, focusing on the ways the Bible teaches us to view God, ourselves, and the world around us. The Bible wasn’t written to form a new religion; it was written to help us know and understand God. In this beautiful, God-breathed set of books, we find the true story of God’s pursuit, interaction, and love for his world.…
The foundation of a relationship with Jesus is faith. What does faith look like in daily life, though? Is it a belief, blind trust, or action? Learn more as Pastor Brent digs into what real faith looks like according to Scripture. It’s not about earning anything or proving yourself. It’s about giving up the idea that you can earn God’s favor and choosing to trust in what Jesus has done for you.…
In Christianity, everything we do and say rises and falls on Jesus — who He was, what He did, and what we believe about Him. In this new series, we’ll go back to the basics. Who is Jesus? What does faith look like? How do we grow in our relationships with Jesus?
In Jesus’ final prayer before His arrest, He intercedes on the behalf of His followers — that’s us! — praying that we would be one just as He is one with the Father. The unity of the body of Christ is crucial to our witness, but that doesn’t mean we agree on every theological issue or tradition. Our unity ultimately comes from our unity with God.…
As Jesus continues his prayer in John 17:6-19, we find a message specifically for His disciples. Here, Jesus encourages His early followers that they belong to God, to one another, and in the world but not of the world. Listen as Pastor Brent explores the power this exhortation still holds for Christ’s people today.…
As Jesus turns from teaching to prayer in John 17, we see the defining moment of His mission unfold. The hour has come—everything in history has led to this point. Jesus’ life, prophecy, and God’s redemptive plan all converge as He prepares for the cross. But instead of seeking escape, he asks for one thing: glory—not through power, but through sacrifice.…
In Jesus’ final moments with His disciples, He warns them of the difficulties to come. Following Jesus is not without cost, sacrifice, and even persecution for some across the world. What does it look like to follow Jesus when the world is against you?
In some of Jesus’ final words to His disciples in the book of John, He tells them to love each other. It feels like such a simple command, but it’s actually one of the hallmarks of a relationship with Jesus. Jesus’ love is sacrificial. It’s friendship, and it’s mission.
Faith isn’t about production. It’s about remaining with Jesus — abiding with the True Vine — as Jesus teaches His disciples in John 15. Listen as Pastor Brent explores this famous passage, encouraging us to rest in Jesus in order to bear much fruit.
As Jesus shares with His disciples in the book of John, it’s better for Him to go so Christ-followers have access to the Holy Spirit. But, who is the Holy Spirit, and what does He do? Listen as Pastor Brent shares about the Spirit of God living in and working with and through us!
In John 14, we read Jesus make some bold statements about His identity. When you see Jesus, you see God. Jesus actually reveals the Father to us, which begs the question: What will you do with Jesus?
Our new sermon series explores the farewell discourse of Jesus: His final teachings to the disciples before His eventual death and resurrection. Pastor Brent begins by exploring the Way. Jesus says He’s “the way and the truth and the life,” but what does that mean? As we learn more about the Way, we also learn what true trust in God looks like.…
Family is a beautiful gift from God, but when we begin placing our families equal to or above God, we lose sight of the role God intended for family to have in our lives. As we conclude our Counterfeit Gods series, we take a look at the idolization of the American family. What if the solution to the idol of family is not thinking of our families less but integrating them into the Kingdom of God with others in true community?…
From the beginning of time, humans have confused humanity’s role with God’s role. We long to be in control of every aspect of our lives — our money, our families, our health, and our futures. In this message, Pastor Amy gives permission for you to be a child. More knowledge and control won’t quiet your soul, but trust in God will.…

Technology surrounds us. It answers our questions, makes our lives easier, entertains us, allows us to communicate across the world, and so much more. Although technology can be used for good, it can also quickly distract, depress, and control us. In this message, Pastor Brent challenges us to return technology to its proper place and lift our eyes up to the Maker of heaven and earth.…
Our attitude towards money and possessions matters. Does your money and stuff control you, or do you control it? Jesus never said that money was bad, but our heart posture towards it can easily turn money from a tool to be used for the Kingdom into an idol that can destroy our lives and relationships with Jesus.…
We’ve created a system that teaches us that we are only as good as our last successes. Where does God say our value comes from, though? Follow along as we take a look at the idols of success and achievement, learning that God cares more about who we are than what we do.
What are you living for? Your career, money, achievements, or even your family? We center our lives around countless things and relationships that often take up more of our hearts and minds than our love for Jesus. Follow along as we explore the counterfeit gods of our age in hopes that we come closer to the one, true God.…
As we look towards 2025, we also have the opportunity to look back at all God has done in and through us in 2024. Take a moment to reflect with us.

From the extraordinary acts of Jesus to finding beauty in the ordinary, discover how wonder opens our hearts to God’s presence. Let’s cultivate curiosity, slow down, and marvel at the breathtaking work of our Creator this season.…
Who is God, and does He want to be known? The practice of revelation is a crucial part of faith that we often miss. In this message, Pastor Brent invites us to humbly seek Jesus and His Kingdom this Advent season and each day of the year.
One would like to think the holiday season only brings merriment and joy, but most know that the Christmas season can also be full of trials. Listen as Pastor Brent shares a word of encouragement. Advent reminds us that in darkness and difficulty, we are not alone.
Join Pastor Brent for the first message in our new Advent series, Wonder , as we reflect on how God offers renewal during the Christmas season. Celebrate Thanksgiving by reflecting on God’s goodness in the past and His provision for the future. Both Pastor Brent and Pastor Amy help us reflect on how God is working in our lives and community in this special service.
As followers of Christ, we become the dwelling place of God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Amy concludes our series by exploring how the Holy Spirit both transforms and empowers us to live lives fully devoted to Jesus.
The weapons of the world are powerless in our spiritual battle. So, how should we fight? Listen as Pastor Brent shares about the importance of prayer, Scripture, and more in spiritual warfare.
The book of Ephesians tells us that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). What does that mean and look like in everyday life? Knowing who our enemy is and where the real battle takes place greatly shapes how we fight.…
Despite our rationalized, Western view of reasoning, there is more to the world than meets the eye. A spiritual battle rages around us; we choose how to respond to it.

Throughout the last few weeks, we’ve learned what it means to cross the line — with ourselves, into community, during conflict resolution, and ultimately into the world. In the race of life, we will encounter sin and struggles that may entangle the race marked out for us. The journey into emotional health involves learning to notice and name our emotions in the presence of God. What could be hindering you from running the race? What baggage might you be carrying that needs to be set down to run freely?…
What should the church’s relationship look like with the world? As individuals, how should we interact with the people around us? The world longs to be seen, heard, and loved. As followers of Jesus, we have an opportunity to engage in the ministry of reconciliation with our community.
Conflict is bound to happen, and how we deal with it matters. Listen as Pastor Brent shares what reconciliation can look like when we approach conflict with humility, love, vulnerability, and honesty. God doesn’t just want us to be reconciled with Himself; He also longs for reconciliation among His people.…

It’s not easy to press into relationships. Whether people have hurt us or we just don’t have the energy or courage to find a healthy community, many of us find ourselves lonely. Listen as Pastor Amy shares how to build healthy relationships by leaning into vulnerability and even awkwardness! Here, we don’t just find community; we find Jesus.…
How do you know yourself? It’s a question that has many different answers, but perhaps it begins with knowing who you are in Christ: a child of divine love. Listen as Pastor Brent guides us in exploring both false and true identities, ultimately helping us know ourselves more deeply so we can know God more deeply.…
As we learn what it means to pursue full mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health, we decided to ask a few experts in the mental health field, Anna Keppen and Matthew Becker, to share their knowledge and experiences with us. How can we take steps towards wholeness? How can we support the people around us as we pursue emotionally healthy spirituality?…
To know God, we also have to know ourselves. Pastor Brent kicks off a new series that highlights the significance of honest, authentic relationships—the ones we have with ourselves, with others, with our community, and with God. As we learn more about who we are, we also learn more about who God is.
Celebration is a spiritual discipline. We have the opportunity to celebrate God’s goodness, even in the midst of life’s difficulties. Follow along as Pastor Amy, Pastor Brent, and our worship team share what true joy looks like in this final message of our sermon series.

Where am I? Where is God? Why am I here? We find honest emotions, thoughts, and prayers from the authors of the Psalms. In Psalms 42 and 43, the practice of lament takes center stage. Listen as Pastor Brent explores the importance of lament and grief in our walks with Jesus.
Psalm 58 brings out a lot of challenging emotions. Vengeance. Anger. Desperation. How should we approach a passage of Scripture so unlike the kind and compassionate Jesus we cling to? Pastor Brent explores how Christ-followers can deal with complex emotions like anger, ultimately inviting us to pray honestly and trust God to deal with injustice.…
God reveals Himself through His Word. However, God’s Word isn’t just meant to be studied. It’s meant to be a way of life that draws us closer in heart and mind to King Jesus. Pastor Brent takes a look at Psalm 119, which describes the beauty of God’s precepts and ultimately leads us to Jesus—the Word made flesh.…
What would a world marked by real justice and righteousness look like? That was the author of Psalm 72’s prayer for their king. Pastor Amy explores the beautiful world described in this passage, as well as the only King who is making it come to fruition.

It’s easy to forget just how majestic and big God is. However, with just one look at His creation—from day-old infants to ducks to the ocean—we are reminded of the wonder of God as well as the vulnerability of humanity.
God has invited us to join Him in the work of this world, but are we allowing Him to join us in the work of our life? Pastor Brent takes a look at Psalm 127, encouraging us to partner with God in all that we do. As we allow ourselves to partner with God, we start focusing less on doing the “right things” and more on being the “right people” that follow Jesus together.…
