×Welcome to the second episode of what we call "Season Preview Season", as the trio of Dre, Cam and RJ Preview the 2025 MotoGP Season! We talk about the new, larger-than-ever calendar, the incoming engine freeze, and Simon Crafar's new role as Chief Steward before getting into the state of all five factories within the sport. First up - the Japanese brands of Honda and Yamaha and their separate approaches to getting back up the grid. There's genuine optimism in their respective camps after upgrades appear to make them look closer to the top, but what's a realistic expectation for Quartararo, Zarco, Mir and company? There's a deep dive into KTM's continued struggles. They're seemingly in the clear as the Austrian courts agreed to their bailout terms, but what does mean for a gagged MotoGP team? And is Pedro Acosta secure in his future given his "phenom" status? Can Aprilia be a better second after years of spinning its wheels, and with its new World Champion Jorge Martin starting the year in a hospital bed? And finally, Ducati, who had ditched a new engine would be a disaster in any other context. But this is Ducati, who looks virtually unstoppable at the moment. Is Bagnaia out to reclaim the title? Can he overcome his greatest opponent yet? Is Marquez set to tie Rossi's 7 Premier Class titles? All that and more on Motorsport101!…
New team, new station, same old nonsense. It's time for the return of Season Preview on Motorsport101! To start us off for the previews, it's the 2025 IndyCar Season, with Dre, Cam and RJ joined by special guest and old friend - Frontstretch.com writer and Colton Herta's best paddock friend, Christopher DeHarde. This is a huge, old-school edition of M101, nearly three hours long as catch up on William Byron's controversial second-straight Daytona 500 victory, as well as the F175 Live Show from the O2 in London before getting into the meat and potatoes of the season. Between the four of us, we then preview the season - First with the calendar and race length adjustments, and the new broadcast move to FOX for the series and what it entails, as well as the future of the series power units as Honda are still on the verge of quitting. Then, we go team by team and break down all their changes, from Prema's problems with no charter and no Michael Cannon to RLL and their rebooted lineup to McLaren's new life with Tony Kanaan as team principal. Can Josef Newgarden three-peat at Indy? Can Alex Palou three-peat the title? All that on a stacked M101!…

We got this bad boy out as soon as possible because Ford is coming back to Le Mans as a breaking news story and we wanted to strike while the iron is hot! On this episode of M101, Dre, RJ, and Cam are back to talk about what Ford coming back means, the natural rivalry with Ferrari rising to the surface, and what a triumph the regulation set has become as Ford becomes the 15th manufacturer to join the Hypercar class since its inception. We also talk about the Rolex 24, as Porsche goes back-to-back via the Number 7 crew to win its second straight Daytona and their 20th as a marque. We'll mention Acura nearly stealing it all at the end via another Tom Blomqvist late rampage, and BMW's all-out attempts to win it all and just fall short at the end. Also, Lamborghini... man. All the stories in the other classes are covered too, like LMP2's Tower Motorsports being stripped of their win due to skid block wear, the ridiculous scrap between BMW and Corvette in GTD Pro as Ford take their first class win with the Mustang, and AWA winning in GTD! All that in a loaded Motorsport101!…

It's that time again! To kick off our Motorsport101 coverage for 2025, we're previewing the IMSA Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona! Cam, RJ O'Connell live from Daytona, and Dre break down all four classes as this year's Rolex, including GTD and GTD Pro, the fleet of Ferrari 296s on Deck, as well as Iron Dames change to Porsche, Pfaff Motorsports heading to Lamborghini, and more as Porsche gets 20kg of BoP to contend with! Then the GTP battle at the front. Will the Porsche 963 continue it's incredible dominance after winning almost everything in 2024? Is BMW legitimate after taking pole position with Dries Vanthoor on Thursday? Where does Lamborghini stand? That and so much more across 75 minutes of preview action on Motorsport101!…

As the audio track to a written article on Motorsport101.com , Dre talks about new sancutions from the FIA for Misconduct Penalties, Jack Doohan's time in F1 potentially being brief, and IndyCar's first movements on FOX as they talk about poaching Will Buxton from F1 TV, and their first advert themed around Josef Newgarden. Article to piece:…
It's that time again, for the 9th annual Motorsport101 Awards! Dre, RJ and Cam come together and make sense of the very best, worst, and everything inbetween in the most popular voted M101 Awards show ever, so thank you all so much for your votes! Does Alex Albon take the Golden Melon for his sidewinder sweep in Canada? Who takes the Golden Cock between stewarding, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, NASCAR, or Christian Horner, and who wins the athlete of the year between Sho Tsuboi, Charles Leclerc, Alex Palou and Max Verstappen?!…
Have you been listening to M101 for a while? Did you like the good old days when we used to have really long shows? Well today's your lucky day! This is a two and a half hour long marathon special breaking down everything that happened in F1 in 2024! A full team-by-team breakdown takes place from the struggles of Sauber as they wait for Audi to cash in, to Red Bull Racing and their horrendous power struggle on and off the track. And of course, everything inbetween. Why Nico Hulkenberg and Haas caught so many flowers, why no team was messier than Alpine as the year rolled on, and why Aston Martin struggled so much. There's also big questions up the front. Just what IS Lewis Hamilton heading into 2025 with Ferrari? Are Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris and George Russell now sitting amongst F1's true elite? And there's no way Max Verstappen can go five straight, right? All that and MUCH more on one of the biggest and best M101's we've ever done!…

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Motorsport101! To wrap up the festive season, here's the first part of our 2024 Season Review Season, as Dre, Cam and special guest Ryan Erik King look back at the world of two wheels in 2024! Just one small twist in the story - It's been a while since our last MotoGP episode and KTM has hit the skids since the season ended, with the company entering self-administration and revealing they're nearly THREE BILLION euros in debt. They're now scrambling to figure out a plan to save their Motorsport endeavours as the creditors recommend pulling out of MotoGP entirely. We try to understand what's happened and what could happen next to the factory, its racing team, and its riders. Then we get into the rest of the 2025 paddock, such as the struggles of Honda and Yamaha and their attempts to rise back into contention, the hurdles that plagued Aprilia's season of hope, and why Ducati ended up so dominant and why it's set to continue into 2025. And is Marc Marquez the favourite heading into next year? All that and more on Motorsport101!…
After 24 Grand Prix, 7,500km in race distance alone, and plenty of use of Papaya, McLaren finally wrapped up their first Consturctors Championship since 1998. But they had to survive Oscar Piastri being spun out by Max Verstappen at the first corner, as well as Carlos Sainz breathing down their necks. Dre, Cam and RJ reviewing the final weekend of the year. How we got there was also wild, with George Russell and Max Verstappen engaging in unholy levels of petty beef. Dre breaks down why it also feels so rehashed. It was also the final race for Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes after 246 weekends together. Was the leaving party... a little much? There's also a review into the final F2 and F1 Academy weekends of the year, and yet more enquires into FIA stewarding, all on another M101!…
Oh boy, this was another doozy. More FIA shenanigans completely overshadowed F1's Qatar Grand Prix weekend for 2024. President Mohammed Ben Sulayem entered the weekend with yet more firings. This time it was deputy Race Director Janette Tan and Tim Mayer, a 15-year veteran steward. On top of that, he declared that it was "None of the driver's business" how he runs the FIA. That was bad enough, but the action on track was equally messy. On Saturday, Max Verstappen was stripped of pole position after being deemed to have driven necessarily slowly, despite slowing down for other cars and George Russell accusing Max of a block. And then in the race, Alex Albon's fallen wing mirror caused carnage with two punctures to Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton, and Lando Norris hit with a 10-second Stop and Go Penalty for ignoring double-waved yellows. Oh man, another Race Director's in hot water already. Oh, and did we mention Max Verstappen won? And Esteban Ocon's been cut from Alpine a race early? Goodness me. All that in 70 minutes of Motorsport101!…

Safe to say, we've got a lot to catch up with here. In this extended episode of Motorsport101, RJ, Cam and Dre sit down to review a newsworthy final break and the year's biggest story. After Michael Andretti stepped down as CEO of his team, it turns out negotiating an F1 deal was actually a piece of piss, and it's now been confirmed that Cadillac under the wing of General Motors will join the grid in 2026 as the sports 11th team. What caused the sudden change of heart? And how unnecessary has this entire process been? We have to talk about the new World Champion crowned in Las Vegas... it's the same as the old one. Max Verstappen finished fifth on the road and that was enough to take the title after Lando Norris could only manage sixth. Is Max now one of the greatest ever? How did he win the title? Or, did McLaren lose it when it mattered most? George Russell won the Grand Prix too, in ultra-cold conditions, in a dominant Mercedes 1-2. Is it better to have a fast car you don't understand? Or a slow one you know too well? Mercedes is testing that theory. We also discuss the latest Ferrari fallout as Charles Leclerc exploded on the radio after the race over his teammate racing him. All that and a lot more caught up news on the next Motorsport101!…
ASPAR FUNDRAISER: https://www.gofundme.com/f/asparteamxvalenciacatastrophe?lang=es_ES&utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link So, it turns out, you CAN win a MotoGP World Championship as a Sattilite team. Who'd have thought? Episode 555 of the Podcast has the gang review the MotoGP Season Finale, the Solidarity GP at Barcelona, the replacement for Valencia after their horrendous flooding. And during the weekend, while Francesco Bagnaia did everything he could via a perfect weekend, his fifth of 2024, it was Jorge Martin who rode smartly with a pair of third place finishes to take the World Title. Yes, MotoGP has its first independent World Champion since Valentino Rossi in 2001. The gang review the best of the action (There wasn't much), as well as reflect in the aftermath of the event, such as the official test two days later, the retirements of Aleix Esaprgaro, Taka Nakagami and Stefan Bradl, David Alonso's new World Record, and a whole lot more on another Motorsport101!…

Originally a written article on Motorsport101.com , Dre reviews all the news that dropped on November 12th, including Alpine x Mercedes, Dan Fallows being removed from his role at Aston Martin, Niels Wittich fired as FIA Race Director, and F1 trying a new season launch in February 2025. Enjoy!
And just like that, the title race is just about over. In this episode of Motorsport101, Dre, RJ and Cam review the penultimate round of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship at Sepang, and Saturday provided the quintessential metaphor for the 2024 Championship. Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin go to war in qualifying, the lap record gets absolutely shattered in the process, Bagnaia takes pole... only to tuck the front and crash at Turn 9 in the Sprint. Martin wins and puts the Championship almost out of reach, even with Pecco coming back to win the Grand Prix. With it, it's a 24-point lead for Martin heading into Catalunya for the new title decider... surely he can't blow it from here? Also, we talk about NASCAR's Wall-riding controversy with Christopher Bell and William Byron.…
If you've been reading the news, it's not been the greatest of weeks. Forgive us if you don't like it, but we wanted to dedicate the first few minutes of this Podcast to reflect on Donald Trump being re-elected as President of the United States, and what it may mean for us Motorsport fans. We hope it resonates with you. Remember, this will always be a safe space for everyone to enjoy their Motorsport. This is a show made by all walks of life, FOR all walks of life and we're here for everyone. And we do mean everyone. Afterwards, we review the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix, one of the wildest race weekends of recent years. It consisted of no less than a Sprint Race that had a rather disruptive McLaren team orders swap, a qualifying session that was moved to Sunday morning due to it being rained off on Saturday night, that qualifying session having FIVE red flags and Alex Albon withdrawing from the weekend after wrecking a tub, and then one of the biggest comebacks in F1 history in the race. In conditions that time replicated a monsoon, Max Verstappen went from 17th on the grid to win in dominant fashion, with Lando Norris slipping to 6th as McLaren struggled in the rain. With it, Max extends his Championship lead to 63 points, essentially ending the Championship fight right there and then. We try to break down all of the title action. On top of that, Alpine had their first double podium finish since Korea 2013 and Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly's bravery in wet conditions got them 2nd and 3rd, and 35 points on the weekend, lifting them to sixth in the WCC. Could it be a $30m payday for the French team? All that and yet more stewarding mess, on the next Motorsport101!…
