Every Thursday Connecticut Humane Society joins the show to tell us about another pet that needs a home. This week we are meeting Sadie! If you’re looking for a lively and lovable new companion, let us introduce you to Spectacular Sadie! This three-month-old tan and black beauty is a mixed breed with a big personality. Expected to weigh up to 44 pounds when fully grown, Sadie is full of energy and eager to find a home that can keep up with her playful spirit. Sadie would thrive in a household with children over the age of ten who understand how to be gentle and respectful with pets. She’s still learning the ropes of being a well-mannered pup, so continued obedience training will be essential for her growth. While she hasn’t had much experience with other dogs, she may be open to making a new canine friend—pending a proper meet and greet, of course! However, she wouldn’t be a good match for a home with cats. With her boundless energy, Sadie needs a family that can provide her with plenty of daily exercise to keep her happy and healthy. If you’re ready for a fun-loving pup who’s eager to learn and grow, Sadie might just be the perfect addition to your family! Could Sadie be your new best friend? Head over to cthumane.org/all-adoptable-pets today to meet this sweet girl and see if she’s the right fit for your home!…

Every Thursday Connecticut Humane Society joins the show to tell us about another pet that needs a home. This week we are meeting Ruth and May! They're two bonded bunnies looking for a loving home together. Here's a little bit about them: Names: Ruth & May Age: 1 year, 1 month Location: Westport Branch Area: Rabbit Kennel Rabbits make wonderfully social family pets! However, be sure to familiarize yourself with their care and enrichment needs before adopting. Although relatively easy to care for once you know how, rabbits do require more attention than most people typically think. Rabbits may be able to live in pairs. When bonded, they will groom each other and snuggle together for companionship. Solo rabbits will need more human social time than pairs. Curious and social, rabbits do benefit from a lot of time out of their cage and can be litter box trained so they can roam freely in a safe environment. While rabbits vary greatly in size, the average rabbit may weigh approximately 5 pounds and can live 6-12 years with proper care. Ruth: I am so bonded with my sister May we are looking for a home that will adopt us both!…

Every Thursday Kathryn from Connecticut Humane Society joins the show to tell us about another pet that needs a home. This week we have Bolt! Bolt is an adorable 3-month-old Siberian husky mix puppy He came to CT Humane Society because his owner wasn't able to keep him through a move This pup is a high energy dog who is going to need lots of exercise every day! He's also going to need a lot of positive reinforcement training as he grows up, as huskies are a working breed, meaning: When full grown, these dogs are usually large or extra-large as adults. Developed for a range of tasks, working dogs are intelligent, capable and can make excellent companions. Working dogs are large to extra-large breeds that have been bred for their size, strength and adaptability. This means they can be very strong and easily pull or knock some owners over. Like all dogs, it is essential that they be trained and socialized at an early age and this should be continued on and throughout their lives. Many make wonderful pets and enjoy having a job to do. If you are interested, Bolt is located at the Westport location and you can start the process by going to cthumane.org/adopt.…
