With social networks getting smaller and smaller, sometimes reaching out to past colleagues and friends can increase our sense of social connectedness and reduce our sense of isolation.

You can use search engines like Classmates.com, Pipl, Wink, PeekYou, and Zabasearch to track them down, with a little help of some background information like their high school, college, or town they grew up in.

It can be difficult to reach out and it may feel awkward. People change. You have changed. However you might be pleasantly surprised to find out that the person you once knew is someone you like even more today!
