Welcome back to the podcast, friends! If you're new here, I'm so glad you found my podcast and we're now connected! Today friends, we're talking about the frustrations of dealing with a chronic illness or other serious medical condition but struggling to get answers/frustrations. To give a backstory: I've been having issues with my hormones and irregular but (when I do get one) heavy periods for years. I have been tested for endo, fibroids, and polyps - nothing. And that is where I'm at with my gyno. She seems to think I'm fine but also admits being irregular and heavy, painful periods aren't normal. I bet you can understand (especially as a woman) why I'm going into 2025 a little frustrated I'm still looking for answers. *side note - I have a feeling it's pcos or imbalanced hormones, I'm hopeful to find out this year* I know I'm far from the only one looking for some sort of answers or fighting to get a diagnosis for something you know isn't right in your body, who is frustrated and deflated, so I decided to share three tips and reminders I have for those of you also in this rocky boat. I'm feeling a tug to have an honest conversation about boundaries, especially during the holidays, so that's what we're doing friends! Welcome back to the podcast, friends! If you're new here, I'm glad you found my show and we're now connected! I did not release an episode last week, and I want to apologize for that. It was not my intention to miss recording and sharing an episode for you, my friends. However, I experienced a days long (nearly a full week) panic attack, and in the days leading up to my 33rd birthday, I was barely functioning. Something happened at work that led to consequences I don't feel are fair, I'm dealing with health issues of my own, and there is heavy stuff going on with my family behind the scenes. My nervous system is in survival mode, and my body throwing me into a panic attack recently made realize I'm stuck in a fight or flight response. In today's episode friends, I get vulnerable and talk about the panic attack I recently experienced. I also share some of the things that eventually helped me pull myself out of it. I want to remind you all of two important things. Sometimes our triggers + reactions to them can't be explained. Does that feel great when it happens? No, but this is part of our human experience.
