James Guthrie AKA 'Machete James' is a good God-fearing family man. One day he was simply doing his job at work when a machete-wielding customer enters the building bent on killing him and a few of his coworkers. The fight to save his life and the lives of those in his immediate environment was brutal, fast-paced and totally caught on camera. I won’t tell you what happened because I want you to listen to the episode and watch the video for yourself but obviously, James is here and we are honored to have him. I’m proud of this man because he has worked on himself in multiple areas of combatives during the course of his life and in the video and through our conversation you can see how the habit of studying hard skills and protection skills can really come together to make a man a modern hero when the time comes, period. This real world account of how James survived and protected innocent people from real evil and true violence stands as a testament to the man he truly is and really fortifies the statement that protection is more than a job, it really is a lifestyle.
