MIT Campus Update: Events, Sports, Fresh Food Market, and Weather Highlights for October 27–November 3

First up—the Penn Carey Law School Information Session is happening Monday, October 27, from 6 to 7 p.m. It's a virtual session, so you can join from anywhere. Next—the MIT UROP Mixer is on Tuesday, October 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Sala de Puerto Rico, Building W20. A great chance to connect with potential research opportunities. And—the Climate and Sustainability Competition is set for Wednesday, October 29, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Ford Building, E19-202. If you're passionate about sustainability, don't miss it. This past Saturday, our football team faced Salve Regina at Steinbrenner Stadium. Unfortunately, the game didn't go our way. Looking ahead, the men's squash team has a home match against Northeastern University on Friday, October 31, at 5 p.m. in the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center. Come out and support the team! The MIT Fresh Food Bags pop-up market is back on Monday, October 27, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Stata Center Lobby, Building 32. Stock up on fresh veggies and support local farmers. Also, the New Moon Ceremony & Meditation is happening Tuesday, October 21, at 6:53 p.m. at the MIT Sailing Pavilion Dock. It's a time for rest, creativity, and gestation. This week in Cambridge, expect partly sunny skies on Monday, with highs around 55°F. Tuesday brings breezy conditions and variable cloudiness, with highs near 56°F. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with highs around 53°F. Thursday and Friday are looking wet, with occasional rain and highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s. The weekend should clear up, with some sun and highs in the mid-50s. Tip: Keep an umbrella handy for Thursday and Friday's showers.
