In this episode, Anna is joined by Tom, from Fallow & Fields, who talks about the lessons he and his business partner learnt when they decided to open a delicatessen at the start of the pandemic, and the importance of supporting independent businesses.
Fallow & Fields are an event catering company who’s passion and ethos has always been on making the most of amazing local, sustainable and seasonal produce. They have recently opened a delicatessen in Nuneham Courtney where they’re showcasing the best locally made and British produce.
They offer hand-made willow hampers, which can be purchased or hired for the day and taken to be enjoyed filled with local goodies, at either the Oxford University Arboretum or the beautiful Nuneham Estate with gardens landscaped by Capability Brown, and where Queen Victoria stayed shortly after her wedding, or perhaps enjoy your hamper by the banks of the river? They cater to weddings, festivals, corporate events, and hold wild game and hog roasts, and have a large vegan flame-grill.
They also offer private dining experiences and wedding tastings in their beautiful Grade II listed building in Nuneham Courtenay.
