Healthy Weight Reduction and Weight Loss Myths

David’s Weight Loss Journey

  • David used to be health-conscious when he was younger. However, due to life problems, his weight started to creep upon him.
  • He decided to lose weight but found it hard to maintain it, often reverting to his old habits.
  • He finally decided to lose weight the right way after his doctor told him he has a 95% chance of having a heart attack.
  • David then decided to share the things he learned after observing that there’s a lot of misinformation and myths about weight reduction.

Weight Loss Myths

  • One of the most famous myths about weight loss is reducing calories and moving more will equate to weight loss. There is a difference between healthy calories and empty calories.
  • Depriving yourself of proper nutrition will force your body to go into starvation mode, which fights to keep the weight.
  • Eliminating carbohydrates will result in weight loss is not entirely true. Complex carbohydrates are right for you.
  • Another famous myth is people think if they exercise more, they’ll reduce weight more. People tend to underestimate the calories they consume and overestimate the calories they burn.
  • Orange juice is not all healthy. It is better to squeeze and eat real fruits.
