- He learned what it's like to run a business on his father's farm.
- He left graduate school for some time because of burnout and tried various jobs, such as working in a call center, selling insurance, and resumé writing.

- They don't give up, no matter how hard the situation is.
- They seek mentoring relationships to find out what they need to know.
- It is vital to invest in yourself first before asking someone to invest in your programs.
- They have positive mindsets, and they stick around people who will lift them.

- The force of the average is strong.
- People who think in terms of competition have a scarcity mindset.
- On the other hand, those who have an abundance mindset realize that the pie is infinite.
- It's far-fetched to immediately become business partners with someone you meet at a networking event.
- You have to build relationships.
Why Should You Maintain Gratitude
- If you're not thankful for what you have, you will not be given something more significant to be grateful for.
- There is always something to be grateful for, even in adverse situations. However, you also have to learn your limits.
- Listing down 100 things that you're thankful for and reading that as often as possible will make a significant shift in your mind.
- There's no way to know how the chain of events will unfold.
- You have to be aggressively thankful for what you have and take nothing for granted.
- Make an effort to lean on the people who are close to you.
- When you keep your mind occupied with other things, the wrong things will not hold you at the same time.
- Thinking that you know it all
- Thinking that you don't need other people's advice
- Once you reach a certain level of success and notoriety, there will be a lot of noise around you that you will need to filter. You have to stay focused on your goal.
Knowing When to Say 'No'
- Don't be afraid to say 'no.'
- In the beginning, you're ready to say 'yes' to a lot of things because you're trying to build momentum.
- However, once you’re established, you can say 'no' to a few things.
- Sometimes, people will say 'no' to test you—they test who will follow up and who is serious.
The Future of Collaboration
- Brian thinks that the more we rely on technology, the more secluded we're going to be.
