Brian's Beginnings

  • He learned what it's like to run a business on his father's farm.
  • He left graduate school for some time because of burnout and tried various jobs, such as working in a call center, selling insurance, and resumé writing.
  • In 2012, he started his radio show while still working a full-time job. And just in 2017, he went full time.
  • Brian warns that if you don't like what you're doing, and you become good at it, that's what you'll keep getting.

Going Full-Time and Running Your Own Business

  • For Brian, the greatest challenge is whether he could make a full-time income.
  • Unlike people who grew up with an entrepreneurial background, it was a huge paradigm shift for someone used to working for other people.
  • You must keep planting the seeds while you're harvesting because if you don't, the cycle will start again.

The Commonalities of Successful People

  • They don't give up, no matter how hard the situation is.
  • They seek mentoring relationships to find out what they need to know.
  • It is vital to invest in yourself first before asking someone to invest in your programs.
  • They have positive mindsets, and they stick around people who will lift them.

The Importance of Collaboration

  • The force of the average is strong.
  • People who think in terms of competition have a scarcity mindse
