Bruce Pearson is the first composer I ever played, so this was a particular treat to interview him. Dr. Pearson outlines his career teaching at all levels, discusses learning theories, and speaks about his experience writing and publishing music, including the Best in Class, Standards of Excellence, and Tradition of Excellence Band Methods. Dr. Pearson was also gracious enough to be my first long distance guest over Skype - my special thanks to him for sitting down in this interview. Intro and outro music is Tapestry, composed by Bruce Pearson.
