In one of our favourite episodes of The BackLog so far, we speak with D Ray Freeman. Our host in this episode is Sean Woon, Managing Director of TRIBE (a sister company of ADAPTOVATE). Our guest, D Ray Freeman, is a project lead for ADAPTOVATE in LA. However he's more than just a beloved team member. Earlier in 2020 after the Black Lives Matter protests, following on from George Floyd's death, D Ray Freeman was inspired to create The D Ray Freeman Model. It's his initiative to address systemic racism and help black people get ahead in live faster. He uses Agile theories and lessons to impart his own experience and is creating a network of mentors to build up the community. We are proud to be able to work with Ray on this initative and will provide ongoing support in teaming up with The D Ray Freeman Model to assist young black people get ahead in life. In this episode we learn about Ray's early career, including being a muso in Rap bands, (including some pretty famous names), all the way through to a family tragedy, from which he was able to find his way through grief using Agile methods. Ray has written a book about that experience. (notes below). Thanks for listening and don't forget to like and leave a review.
