In today’s episode of the show, I wanted to talk to you about how to navigate working with and also hiring a Facebook/IG ads manager. While I 100% think you should know the basics of Facebook ads so that you can have an educated conversation about them, I also want you to consider delegating them to someone once you’ve gotten the basics down. It’s but one piece of being the Optimized CEO of your business — hiring and delegating so you can be focusing on the most important aspects of your business. Whether you’re currently working with an ads manager or haven’t yet taken that step, this episode is your roadmap to making this relationship as beneficial as possible for the both of you.I break this episode down into what your responsibilities are when working with an ads manager and then what their responsibilities are when working with you.I think some of what I share is going to be an eye-opener for you.Having worked as an Ads Manager in the first couple years of my business, and also being a successful online business owner who teaches Facebook and Instagram ads, I have a unique perspective on this dynamic. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at rick@rickmulready.com.Discussion Points:0:00 Introduction 3:18 Managing your own ads is not a good use of your time6:51 What are YOUR responsibilities?8:14 Make sure that your manager has access to your accounts8:51 You should have a funnel that converts10:00 Allow your ads manager to take ownership of results12:26 Ads managers should be driving quality traffic for a lead cost, that works to hit the ROI goal16:37 You should be giving them assets that align with your brand18:06 It takes at least 90 days to see whether they are profitable20:02 Be proactive in communication21:11 Ads managers are responsible for results22:54 They should be setting reasonable expectations with you23:47 They should communicate what assets they need and when24:26 Managers should adhere to your requests26:30 What to look for when hiring an ads manager33:55 Where to find an ads manager35:33 Should you bring your ads management in-house?37:36 Cons of in-house management39:11 Summary of this episode
