I always enjoy talking with creators who play an important role in the background in order to help propel an artist's career on stage forward. Mason Rippel is a true hustler and I loved getting his full story in this one. 👏🏻 In 169 we discussed: •Getting into videography: A Chicagoland native, Mason became interested in shooting and editing early in his high school days. His passion eventually took him to Depauw where he started connecting with other videographers like Chris Yoder - next thing he knew he was shooting for Carnage in Indianapolis. The rest is history. 📖 •Building his name: Mason worked his way up shooting at festivals like Electric Forest filming artists such as Hi-Lo and Flume along with Lollapalooza after shows like Brownies & Lemonade. Eventually he crossed paths with an old friend by the name of John Summit in summer of 2019 and became John's go to videographer ever since. Now, he covers shows for Summit all over the country - and soon to be the world. 🌎 •Stratos Sessions: Mason's creative mind goes one level deeper with his new live stream project called "Stratos Sessions" which features exclusive b2b sets in special locations for people around the world to enjoy. He's committed to giving back to those that cannot experience live shows and has already featured John Summit b2b Gorgon City and Kyle Walker b2b Westend. I'd say he's off to a good start! 🤩 Mason and I had amazing dialogue throughout this entire interview and I especially enjoyed getting his creative take on how his process flows before, during, and after he shoots.
