Had a great time catching up with Joe Gray, garage gym connoisseur, powerlifter, all round good dude and the curator behind the Garage Gym Competition.
As is typical with most of the yarns I have, we split the time between, life, lifting, training and it is in this space that you discover how similar our philosophies are. Joe is a moderator on Reddit for the Garage Gym community, while holding down a full time job and raising a family, he created the Garage Gym Competition for anyone to compete in, for fun, for the community and to give away epic prizes.
Joe gives us a great run down about the competition. It is incredibly simple and free to enter for anyone worldwide! He has done an incredible job in creating it and seeing it grow from 200 to 1200 competitors in 3 years; it is now in its 4th year with $30,000 in prizes, who wouldn't want to enter for free!!!
