A native of Colombia, Andrés Borda Zabala knew from an early age that he wanted to enhance the natural sound of instruments and vocals. He found inventive ways to make his early recordings sound better, constantly tweaking and tuning his instruments.
With his heart set on working in the music industry, Andrés enrolled in The L.A. Recording School, to channel his creative talents into a workable skill set.
Andrés originally started composing scores for film, but eventually shifted into audio engineering shortly after graduation. He has been focused on audio ever since then. In the years since he’s won five Latin Grammy’s for his work and and one American Grammy. Andres has also contributed to more than 60 albums and feature films.
Andres is known for working with Carlos Vives as his head studio engineer.
Andres is nominated for two Latin Grammy's for 2021.
