There is no denying that living in a pandemic has had an immense impact on our mental health and wellness. With 4 in 10 people experiencing some sort of anxiety or depression, calling this last year stressful is a huge understatement.

The loneliness, interruption of our normal lives, and worries about our health are just a few of the major stressors we’re all dealing with. It’s a recipe for fear, uncertainty, and overwhelm.

Human beings can only take so much stress, and because we’re going through something so monumental, it’s normal to feel like something is amiss.

Taking care of our mental health should be an urgent priority, and luckily, there are many resources that will help us not only cope during these times but actually thrive.

How do we identify the symptoms of anxiety and depression? What are some of the interventions and behavioral treatments that can help us function better and optimize our wellbeing?

In this episode, licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Erin Joyce shares how the pandemic is affecting our mental health, and some of the practical steps we can take to take care of ourselves in these challenging times.
