The sales of Their first 3 studio albums were lukewarm at best and they had virtually no radio support. The band kept going purely on the strength of their live performances. Live, the blew every other band off the stage and audiences loved them! 🤘 Putting two and two together, the decision was made to try to capture the energy of a live show with a live recording. This is exactly what Alive did. Within a few months KISS went from working band status to international rock stars.
