Imagination is a tool God has blessed us with.
Isaiah 46:10
Imagination gives us the opportunity to see the end from the beginning and to form a vision.
Imagination distorted leads us into a realm called Fantasy.
Fantasy is setting your heart or your mind on something that is unrealistic, impossible, or improbable.
The Realm of Fantasy is where we chase the satisfaction of life by our own means.
Fantasy hinders us from experiencing the fullness of God’s goodness.
What are some of the ways we get into the Realm of Fantasy?
1 - THEY ARE BETTER
2 - I AM BETTER
3 - IF I ONLY HAD
4 - CALLED BUT INACTIVE
5 - THINGS AREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE THIS WAY
God created imagination and it has a purpose.
Satan manipulates and pushes us towards fantasy, but God pushes us towards vision.
Vision is the ability to see with our spiritual eyes the things that God has set for us.
Proverbs 29:18 KJV
VISION VS. FANTASY
Vision is something God gives. Seeing what God hasn’t given is Fantasy.
Inspiration is the gateway to Vision. Sensuality is the gateway to Fantasy.
Fantasy is the realm of self-gratification.
What gives power to fantasy is a lack of vision and a goal of satisfaction.
Philippians 4:8 NIV - Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

How do you renew your mind and cast down imaginations? You’ll need:
1 - Understanding
Proverbs 4:7 NKJV - Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
In all your getting, get understanding.
You can not do anything outside of your understanding.
When we flirt with information and don’t have the level of depth we need, we end up easily misled.
Proverbs 24:3-4 NKJV
Through wisdom a house is built,
And by understanding it is established;
By knowledge the rooms are filled
With all precious and pleasant riches.
2 - Discernment
If your ratio of general information is higher than the truth coming from the Word, it is going to be difficult to walk in inspiration.
Colossians 2:8 NIV - See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.
James 1:5 NKJV - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
3 - Clarity of Faith
Romans 10:17 NKJV - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hebrews 11:1 NIV - Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
God is not asking for blind or visionless faith.
4 - To Study the Word of God
If you’re going to move out of fantasy, you’re going to have to work.
2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
Studying the Word of God allows you to see truth, know truth, and understand truth..
In the path between Vision and Fantasy lies a battle for the heart.
Proverbs 4:23 TPT - So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.
