“If the fruit of sin is a broken fellowship with Jesus, then the fruit of fellowship with Jesus should be FREEDOM.”
2 CORINTHIANS 3:17-18
17 Now the Lord[d] is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord,[e] are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.[f] For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
What happens when your identity, your habits, your preferences, even the way you believed you are wired; contradicts where God is leading you?
2 CORINTHIANS 3:17-18
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom]. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit
FREEDOM IS THE PROCESS OF BECOMING LIKE JESUS.
SANCTIFICATION.
SALVATION and SANCTIFICATION; and both are important to God.
EXODUS 19:4
4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself.

GOD IS RELATIONAL AND TRANSFORMATIONAL.
1 THESSALONIANS 4:3a
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification:

7 For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. 8 Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
When we don’t allow God to be relational AND TRANSFORMATIONAL, we miss out on God’s best.
EXODUS 16:3
The Israelites said, “Why didn’t God let us die in comfort in Egypt where we had lamb stew and all the bread we could eat? You’ve brought us out into this wilderness to starve us to death, the whole company of Israel!”

THE PROCESS OF BEING TRANSFORMED IS HARDLY EVER COMFORTABLE.
FREEDOM IS POSSIBLE
FREEDOM IS PROGRESSIVE
2 CORINTHIANS 3:17-18

FREEDOM IS UNLOCKED THROUGH OWNERSHIP
HEBREWS 12:12-14
12 Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. 14 Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
