The day-to-day of the world with its many conflicts and dichotomies can confuse the heart. Most of us respond by shutting down the heart, blocking our feelings to protect us from the overwhelming emotions that are stirred by the pain of humankind and all that we afflict upon each other, the earth's creatures, and the planet herself.

The protective hardening creates isolation, leaving us feeling separated even when we do care deeply.

Mercy is a divine gift that is present and available and within all things. Mercy returns us to our origin and the truths that weave the seemingly separate pieces into an exquisite tapestry painted by love.
