Tanya shares openly about her own experience of abusive relationships and talks about the various aspects of gender-based violence (GBV), including historical power constructs, inter-generational trauma and coercive control. She also touches on violence in indigenous communities, mistreatment of the elderly in families as well as abuse towards mothers by their children. Tanya ends with a message of hope by describing the results that women who go through her trauma healing program tend to experience, from improved self esteem and ability to set healthy boundaries to finding loving relationships and new jobs.
