In this week’s episode, we learn the story of Dr. Tracy Koogler. Tracy had been practicing medicine at the University of Chicago for 18 years when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She overcame the lung cancer and then was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma, a very aggressive form of brain cancer. Following surgery and treatment of the Glioblastoma, another brain tumor appeared. Tracy tells her story of not giving up and fighting these cancers so she can continue doing what she loves – practicing medicine.

Key Takeaways

- If your condition forces you to stop doing what you love, find something else to keep your interest but stay plugged in.

- Live each day like it’s your last.

- Just because adversity hits, you don’t have to change your lifestyle or who you are. If you like what you are doing, keep doing it.

- Keep a smile on your face. Find one good thing about each day.
