Hello Reiki friends, and welcome back to another episode of ReikiCafe Radio! This week we are joined by ReikiCafe University professors Bruce Taylor and Christine Renee as they discuss the physicality and spirituality of the Chakras.
Translated form Sanskrit, the word Chakra means 'Wheel,' and metaphysical perspectives see these energy centers as swirling storage centers for the energy of the body. From a physical perspective, however, these energy centers, or 'Chakras' correspond to individual nerve plexuses in the nervous system.
Energy is moved through the body, form a scientific perspective, through the actions of the nervous system. Electrical impulses must be sent form the brain to the body in order for muscles to move, senses to perceive, and life to occur. When you take this movement of electricity through the body and transfer it to a spiritual perspective, you begin to see how the Qi or Chi of ancient healing traditions resembles the electrical forces that science has proven keep our bodies alive.
In order for health and wellness to occur, the body must be in a state of balance, with energy flowing freely to all organs, body parts, and Chakras. The Chakras are a communication pathway that allows the energetic, emotional, and spiritual bodies to speak with the physical body and the nervous system highway to the brain.
By engaging in practices such as breathwork, yoga, meditation, Reiki, and exercise, you allow the energy in the body to flow strongly, clearing away blockages and healing the physical manifestations of imbalanced energy.
