  • So why did you decide to write this book in this way?
  • Who did you write this book for? Who needs to read it?
  • One of my favorite lines in the book – This book is also about general life bullshittery and other peoples dickitude.
  • Many people consider anxiety and depression a sign that something is drastically wrong – how do you explain it in the book?
  • Brain 101 – just the basics – what do we need to know in language we can understand?
  • Your comment about vacations hit home, and I realized that was so true. I used to explore the whole time I was gone somewhere, now I spend half the time just trying to get some rest. Obviously, I’m not the only one.
  • I was looking at the physical symptoms of anxiety and I have over half but not really any of the mental symptoms – should that be a big concern? I think the list would surprise many of the listeners. There were things on there that I wouldn’t have guessed are signs of anxiety. And, interestingly those symptoms have drastically increased since my dissection surgery. (118-119)
  • What’s the difference between anxiety and stress or is there a difference
  • You talk about something called “learned optimism” – what’s that??

  • What is this culture of anger you talk about and I totally agree there is one
