New research led by academics at UCL and King’s College London has suggested that withdrawing from antipsychotic drugs may require months or even years. The review represents the first ever scientific paper outlining how exactly antipsychotic medication should be reduced in order to minimise both withdrawal effects and the risk of relapse.
