She is a third-generation primary care physician following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather. She is a mother to four children, an opinion columnist for the Kitsap Sun Newspaper, and recently authored a book on the corporate takeover of healthcare titled, Patients At Risk: The Rise of the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant in Healthcare.
