La Logica Fuzzy nacque per soddisfare l’esigenza di trattare in maniera quantitativa l’incertezza e l’imprecisione dei dati provenienti dalla realtà. Grazie a queste proprietà, recentemente si è utilizzata come valido supporto alla progettazione in ambito ambientale. La”fuzzy set theory” permette anche la gestione delle informazioni imprecise usando semplici regole logiche. Gli indici Fuzzy tengono conto della natura “sfumata” dei sistemi ambientali e individuano il reale valore ecologico degli indicatori, utilizzando variabili qualitative e classi non ordinali contenenti molta informazione. Si è posta l’attenzione sul suo utilizzo nella procedura di valutazione dello stato di qualità del comparto atmosferico dovuta alla presenza di un impianto termico dei rifiuti.21 에피소드
