Upon completion of this CE activity, participants will be able to: Distinguish signs and symptoms of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) among children and adults to enable an earlier diagnosis and minimize complications due to uncontrolled disease, Summarize underlying mechanisms of EoE, including the role of key cytokines such as interleukin-4, -13, and -5 as drivers of type 2 inflammation and how this relates to potential treatment, Review the limitations of the current standard of care for the treatment of EoE, Apply the latest expert recommendations and clinical evidence to the treatment of patients with EoE, particularly as novel and emerging agents become available.
