Well, that’s what the citizens of New England thought in the 1800s as “consumption” otherwise known as tuberculoses spread across the country killing 25 percent of the population. In this episode of Para(normal), Nicolina tells Cody the legend of Mercy Brown and the New England vampire panic, which drove the hunt for the “undead” and the belief that vampires were the root cause of this deadly disease.
