Derek Mei is currently lead design at 3Play Media in Boston and is also a part-time graduate student pursuing my Master's in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley University. He runs an agency called Umeita Design in his spare time, which specializes in user experience consulting in my spare time. He is also extremely passionate about bridging the gap between design boot camps and helping designers land their first UI/UX job, which he attempts to address through this side project Handoff.

In this episode, Derek had shared great insights on Design Education and shared his leanings of attending a Bootcamp and a design school. He compares the contact between them in terms of cost, timing and opportunities. We discussed the various procedures of applying for design school and the best ways to choose a particular school that helps you find your passion and provide you with great opportunities.

Takeaways- Difference between design school and boot camp, How to choose the right design school, and various procedures for applying to design schools.
