FOLLOW UP: MAN GUILTY OF SELLING SCANIA SECRETS
Back in February, of this year, we talked about the Swedish man accused of selling secrets from Scania and Volvo to Russia. His trial is now complete and he is guilty of passing on information from Scania but not from Volvo. To read more, click the Automotive News Europe article here.
OSPREY CHARGING INSTALLING 150 CHARGING HUBS
Osprey Charging has announced that they will be installing 150 high-powered charging hubs across the UK, over the next four years. This will be around 1,500 rapid chargers after an investment in the region of £75 million. To find out more, click here for the YesAuto article.
RENAULT ANNOUNCES JOB CUTS DUE TO EV MOVE
Renault has said they will cut around 2,000 jobs in their move to electrification. However, it claimed that it will be creating 2,500 roles, to help meet the needs from building nine new models in France. To learn more, click the Reuters article here.
UK AUTO FLEET REDUCES CARBON EMISSIONS
SMMT has revealed that the UK auto carbon emission has shrunk by 11.8% as buyers move to electrified vehicles. But, due to the pandemic, the environmental costs to production saw an increase in 2020 over 2019. To read more, click here for the Autocar article.
UK TO SWITCH TO DIGITAL DRIVING LICENSES

Subaru has revealed the new 2022 WRX, hooray! They also said it is not coming to the UK or Europe, boo! Skoda Fabia 2022
Skoda has announced UK specs and prices for their supermini, the Fabia. Starting at a very reasonable £14, 905, they will come with a host of tech and features one would expect from higher up the VW Group food-chain, which leads the chaps on to a conversation about the positioning of the Group’s brands.
