Shawn joined the United States Air Force (USAF) in 1988 and served for 26 years; 9 years as a Security Policeman and 17 years as a Radio & Television Broadcaster.
In this episode he talks about joining the military, his multiple assignments around the world (which include Germany, Portugal, Haiti, South Korea, Italy and Iraq), and how he is living with PTSD.
Shawn also shares the satisfying work he is now doing with the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program, which helps Air Force personnel with their service-related injuries or illnesses.
