Rabbi Shais Taub is a world-renowned columnist, author and lecturer and is known for his work in the field of addiction recovery. NPR dubbed him “an expert in Jewish mysticism and the 12 Steps” and The New York Times has deemed him “a phenomenon.”. He wrote a popular weekly column in Ami Magazine for 8 years and is the author of the bestselling book, G-d of Our Understanding: Jewish Spirituality and Recovery from Addiction as well as several groundbreaking works on Tanya.

Rabbi Taub’s interest in the field of addiction sprang from his work in a Milwaukee Chabad House with Jewish men in recovery. He lives with his wife, Brocha, and their children, in the Five Towns.
