Welcome back for episode 11 of Lift The Curtain, the podcast where talk to people in the creative industry, in its widest spectrum.
He's the drum for Nottingham band Kagoule (and a damn good one at that), but on this chat with Lawrence James English, we focus on his illustration work. With a style like no other and instantly recognisable, he designed all of the band's discography, as well as a good bunch of tattoos, and murals.
He talks to us about his training, or lack thereof, his favourite medium, his inspirations, whether he'd let anyone design the artwork for the band. And as usual, amongst other things, the name drop minute and how to make it at an illustrator, and some tricks and tips on how to get started.
Recos of the week:
Album: John Martyn - Solid Air & Watch: Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing (Loz)
Album: Kagoule - Urth & Watch: This Country (Ben)
