Un numéro d’actualité pour parler des Coronavirus, du SARS-CoV2 en particulier et de la maladie qui en découle, COVID-19. Au-delà de ces sigles Hermine revient sur l’origine zoonotique de cette pandémie et sur l’économie des marchés d’animaux sauvages. Au coeur de cet épisode la question d’un traitement et/ou d’un vaccin est posée, car elle cristallise les enjeux humains autour de cette maladie. Les tests sur animaux faisant partie de l’équation, quels animaux sont donc « éligibles » pour faire avancer la recherche ? Comment les chercheurs utilisent ces animaux ? Existe-t-il des alternatives ? Où peut-on placer le curseur éthique dans ces problématiques ? Quelques éléments de réponse sont avancés dans cette chronique.
