Super Eyepatch Wolf - Joel doesn't actually say much about this channel in this episode, but you should check out this youtuber if you haven't already- deep analysis videos on all manner of topics, mostly anime.

Action Button's review of Toimeki memorial - A funny video game reviewer with a long, long form video essay (seriously, it's 6 hours) on a japanese only dating sim. It's quite the incredible watch, and conveniently broken into chapters. But if it's too long, Joel will understand.

Quintessential Quintuplets - Joel and Kat finished the manga series and were super enthusiastic about it! You should give this a shot if you haven't, and look forward to our eventual bonus episode covering the series in its entirety.

Paramecia Fancast - A One Piece podcast covering the most recent chapters- these are more good folks who shall one day become the rulers of the memes! We've also done some crossover work with them and we're happy to call them our nakama.

Grant The Thief (of the blade licking variety) on Twitter - he's a seriously chill guy, supportive of those around him, and a delight to talk to. We're happy to shout him out.

We talk about Fisher Tiger, the legend himself spoken of by Boa Hancock. He seems like an amazing figure in the One Piece world, and it leads us into a discussion about the D initial- could it stand for "Dawn?" We think it's a strong possibility, but we do consider other likely candidates. Joel draws a connection between Tequila Wolf and Dante's Divine Comedy, and we discuss the various islands that house the various straw hat members- which was our favorite? We also spend a while talking about Sanji's island in particular. It's a sensitive topic, and we aren't the best qualified to speak about it, but we do try to explain our take on Oda's depiction of this group of people. Joel brings up Lindsay Ellis's video on transphobia in pop culture, which you can check out here. He also knows that ContraPoints has done several videos about trans issues and the concept of passing and whether that's an integral part of the experience. Again, we know just enough to know we don't really have any expertise on the issue, and we defer to those whose lives are directly impacted by Peachy Island.
