As state and local education leaders continue to focus on meeting the immediate needs of students during the abrupt shift to remote instruction due to the COVID 19 pandemic, Keystone Policy Center and the Public Education and Business Coalition gathered more than 80 educators, leaders, and stakeholders to begin a parallel effort looking at the future of education. These leaders formed the Education System Resiliency and Innovation Initiative—a broad coalition and research initiative focused on strengthening the teacher workforce, improving educator supports for teacher practice and instructional delivery, and identifying additional systemic shifts that could build off of learning from the current disruption.
