The IDF Search and Rescue team was one of the first international crews on the ground after this week's devastating earthquake on the Turkish-Syrian border.

An IDF field hospital was also set up on Wednesday.

Working around the clock in freezing conditions , the Israeli team has already saved lives.

Alon Lavie, the foreign ministry representative on the ground with the IDF Search and Rescue team, says that the Israeli soldiers have already pulled 5-7 people alive from collapsed buildings.

He spoke to KAN's Mark Weiss from close to the Turkish-Syrian border.
