Katya Klinova directs the strategy and execution of the AI, Labor, and the Economy Research Programs at the Partnership on AI, focusing on studying the mechanisms for steering AI progress towards greater equality of opportunity and improving the working conditions along the AI supply chain.

B Cavello is a Program Lead at the Partnership on AI. They lead projects and activities associated with PAI’s Thematic Pillars, working closely with PAI Partner organizations.

  • The Partnership on AI launched the AI and Shared Prosperity Initiative, an effort to practically shift the path of AI from racing to do things as well as or better than humans and leaving many of them behind in the process to instead expanding workers' economic opportunities w/o asking them to continuously "upskill"

  • There are a lot of highly disruptive technologies in the space of robotics and information technology, especially in the AI space that could lead to possible exciting futures

  • The year 2020 has taught us that technology does not necessarily translate into shared prosperity for everyone. Accordingly, the conversation should shift to what do we want technology to do for us and what technologists should do for the economy.
