Manage episode 471656326 series 3637104
In the last five years, we have all lived through some heavy stuff. But if you were a nurse, well, my heart goes out to you.
Did you know? since 2020...
- Many nurses left the profession due to stress, burnout, and poor working conditions.
- Workplace violence and aggression increased, particularly in hospitals and ER settings.
- Some nurses experienced pay cuts or wage stagnation, despite the increased demand for their work.
- And the pandemic intensified factors such as burnout, depression, anxiety, and substance use among nurses, all of which are associated with an increased risk of suicide.
That's why I wanted to hear from an insider, a nurse in the hospital system who continues to fight on a daily basis for patient's rights, medical freedom, informed consent and more.
