Northern Beaches rock outfit Edgecliff have got their swagger on with new single “I’ll be Gone”.
Laced with harder edge sounds over a rock and roll landscape, “I’ll Be Gone” takes you back to the days when rock and roll ruled the roost and songs were dictated by the sweet sounds of guitar.
“I’ll Be Gone” kicks off wtih a fiery riff before bursting into some technicolour rock and roll; from splashy drum fills to bright organs and vocals with just the right amount of rasp, I’ll Be
Gone also lyrically captures some of life’s more fiery moments.
HEAVY caught up with Jacob Lock to talk more about the track.
"It started a while ago,” Lock recalled. “Our guitarist Will came up with the riff and we all loved it, it's a really catchy riff, but then we did a little bit with it and made half a song I guess and then we forgot about it. We never really made anything great out of it, but more recently we came back to it and it's such a great riff - we all loved it so much - so we developed it more musically and put more effort into it and it became I'll Be Gone."
