Manage episode 304368214 series 2993140
We all hear stories of trauma on the front lines, but what is the healing process like after the trauma? How do you deal with the darkness, pain, emotions, broken homes, and night terrors?
In this podcast, Hayley Adams and Antonio Santana interview first responders: nurses, doctors, firefighters, EMT, police men and women, dispatchers, veterans, and military members to share not only stories of trauma on the front lines, but the coping skills they have learned to help manage their lives in a healthy way. Share this out to the world, it's our mission to create a community of first responders to help spread healing. One community, one mission: mental health.
In this episode we introduce the hosts: Hayley Adams and Antonio Santana.
Hayley is a mental health trauma therapist and coach. She is retired Air Force and served a combat tour. She experienced 19 different traumas before the age of 17 when she joined the military. She was medically retired with PTSD after 14 years due to severe trauma incurred in the military. After struggling severely, she has since committed her life to helping and serving others.
Antonio is a prior Marine with several combat tours and law enforcement officer. He is a published author and mental health advocate. Through struggling with PTSD and severe depression he decided to write out his emotions through poetry, which he shares during each episode. He has dedicated his life to serving others and helping them through mental health struggles.
Our goal with this podcast is to help save lives. You take care of us, now let us take care of you. Please share and subscribe to help us on this mission.
