Please welcome actor (and fellow Marylander- Cumberland, Maryland's favorite son) Eddie Deezen!!
I spoke with Eddie (who is feeling much better now by the way) about his long and storied career in entertainment. He left his home in Cumberland in 1975, the day after he graduated high school, to seek his fame and fortune in Los Angeles. The rest, they say, is history. He shared some great stories about getting gonged by Paul Williams on "The Gong Show", performing stand up comedy at "The Comedy Store", his co-stars in "Grease" such as Jeff Conaway, John Travolta, Barry Pearl, and Sid Caesar; working on "Midnight Madness" with Michael J. Fox, Stephen Furst, and so many great character actors such as Irene Tedrow, Paul Reubens, Marvin Kaplan, and John Fiedler; throwing up in Steven Spielberg's trailer on the set of "1941" and having ice cream with John Candy after shooting had wrapped, and so much more! He has a million great stories, and is also a genuinely good guy.
