Libby Znaimer is joined by the Zoomer Squad's David Cravit, Vice President of Zoomer Media and Chief Membership Officer at CARP, alongside Bill VanGorder, Interim Chief Chief Policy Officer of CARP, and Peter Muggeridge, Senior Editor at Zoomer Magazine. The virus wasn`t the only fatal threat towards long-term care residents amid the pandemic. Neglect and dehydration also played a role according to military reports. And, our panel weighs in on the province`s move towards easing certain restrictions for long-term care residents like communal dining. ---- NURSING WEEK: HOW ARE THESE FRONT LINE WORKERS MANAGING AMID COVID-19? Libby Znaimer is joined by Pam Parks, a registered practical nurse in the emergency ward of a large Durham Region hospital followed by Vicki McKenna, President of Ontario Nurses' Association, Michael Hurley, President at the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions, and Sharleen Stuart, President of SEIU Healthcare Today: our guests discuss Nursing Week, but while we celebrate these front line health care workers we also recognize the challenges they've been facing amid the pandemic. Meanwhile, Pam details the concerning experiences she's had at the hospital amid the pandemic and the toll it's been taking on her and her colleagues.
