In this episode Joseph and Taylor discuss insights on raising confident children.
Confidence is something kids gain by doing, by experience. And, sometimes parents will forget to teach – to take the time to teach, work with, and show their child how something is to be done. It certainly takes more time to show a 6-year-old how to mop a floor than it does to just get it done yourself. But, in doing that, the child doesn’t do, understand, experience, or gain the satisfaction and confidence of know they can do.
Confident kids are happier, more likely to be successful, and to be able to accomplish some of the hard things that life demands of them as they grow up.
Joseph and Taylor share some stories about the payoff of seeing a child gain confidence by doing.
