Candace Pilgrim
Candace Pilgrim is the managing partner of Apollo Capital and the co-founder of Multifamily Women’s Mastermind. She holds bachelor’s degrees in both Biochemistry and Microbiology. Prior to turning her focus to real estate, Candace owned and operated a successful electronics wholesale business for 8 years. Her real estate journey began with single family rehabs and rentals, private lending, and solo-401k investing. In 2018, her focus shifted to multifamily acquisitions where she excels in underwriting, project management, and asset management. Candace’s focus is building a multifamily portfolio in the Southeast to create a passive income stream that will transcend generations. She is currently invested in 500 units in 3 states as a limited partner and actively manages 3 properties totaling 92 units in Alabama and North Carolina.

Xinhe “Julia” Zhu
Julia is a first-generation Chinese American immigrant. She came to American at age 14 with my mother in 2012. After overcoming difficulties such as language barriers and cultural shock, she was accepted by the U.S. Naval Academy. Now, she is a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer and will be stationed on an aircraft carrier in Yokosuka, Japan after finishing a Master's Degree in Finance at JHU Carey Business School. She is interested in real estate investing because it’s such a stable form of passive income.
